Nice original press photo showing the US Naval  USS Montana armored cruiser ACR13 and renamed
USS Missoula June  7  1920,

Backside has sm piece of paper attached that reads:  USS Montana with the bodies of sailors  and marines killed at Vera Cruz off the battery New York May 10

The USS Texas 
was part of the squadron that landed a force of 800 Marines and  seamen at Vera Cruz on April 22 1914 to protect U.S. citizens and rights during a period of political unrest in Mexico.   On May 10 1914 the USS Montana returned to New York with bodies of the dead in the capture of Vera Cruz.
