Interesting sitting pose showing US Civil War officer of the  25th Infantry Co K MassachusettsCaptain Joseph Waldo Denny.      Posing in full uniform with his unit hat sitting on the table with the buggle logo and number 25.   Backside had written pencil period writing that Identified the image.     On Oct 27 1861 Denny promoted to Captain and was commissioned into K company  MA 25th Infantry.    

 

Residence Worceseter MA and born in 1826 in Leicester MA.   After the Civil war he lived ni Boston Ma til his death on December 4 1912. 

 

Enlisted into the Army on April 22 1861 in Worcester Ma as a 4th Lieutenant and commissioned into G company  MA 6th Infantry.  

 

In 1867 Denny wrote a book titled: Wearing the blue in the 25th Mass Colunteer Infantry: with Burnsides coast divison, 18th Army Corps and Army of the James
